Data Infosys has been awarded the Spot Billing and MIS projet by Jaipur Vidhyut Vitran Nigam Limited , in which Data Infosys is going to convert thier existing bi-monthly biling to monthly billing and also use modern techniques to make the system error free and smothen the revene flow and its management.

We are going to use Hand Held Devices (HHD) as Spot Billing machine (SBM) for entering the reading from the meter and then we will synchronise it with the sub division level server and it will be also updated to the center server. The entire network will be also created by us using Wireless Technologies and fiber at some places. Said Mr. Utkarsh Seetha, Dy. GM (Operations), Data Infosys Limited.

The power bill be generated using (HHD) at the same time after reading the meter reading and given to the consumer. This will eliminate chances of error and non-delivery of bill to consumer and also facilitate the consumer to pay monthly instead of total of two months in one go. Obviously consumer can plan his funds in a much better manner now and reduce his burden in one month.

We will be doing spot billing of approx 5 lac consumers every month, and will be employing more than 250 persons to do this task. said Mr. M.L Ostwal, Chief General Manager and also special in charge for this project. The project is already live in few sub divisions and in the process to roll out in entire city.

The entire software for the project is developed by the inhouse team and entire team of senior software engineers have put in very unique approach to re-engineer the billing processes for the depatment and consumer, said Dheeraj Jain, Sr. Project Manager and Data base Administrator.
