inception has been that the Indian economy is undergoing
a transformation and is sparing no efforts to adopt new
technologies to bring about far reaching growth and
diversification. Long term planning and seeing the
market well ahead are the corner stones to the Group's
success in this globally competitive economy.
INTEGRATED EDIBLE OIL COMPLEX
The Group encompasses four exceptional comprehensive oil
seed process complexes with strategic cost efficiency to
gain better market control.
The first Mustard Oil Plant M/S Vijay Industries was
established in 1978 at Khairthal. The Plant has since
been expanded and modernized thrice. Commencing with 40
Kolhus it now operates 104 Kolhus. The Plant has a
production capacity of 20 MT of Mustard Oil per day.
Vijay Solvex Ltd commenced production in 1989 in Alwar
with Solvent Extraction Plant with a capacity of 100 TPD
and Oil Mill with a capacity of 80 TPD. In 1990 refinery
with a capacity of 50 TPD started production. And in
1995 Vanaspati Plant with a capacity of 50 TPD also went
on stream. Thus with these expansions the installed
capacity in 2002 is.
• Vanaspati Ghee - 100 TPD
• Refinery - 050 TPD
• Solvent Extraction - 250 TPD
• Oil Mill - 100 TPD
The Group's brand equity "Scooter'" is market leader and
a household name in Agmark Mustard Oil, Refined
vegetable Oil and Vanaspati. And are being marketed in
consumer packs of 100 ml, 200 ml, 500 ml, 1 liter
Pouches/'Bottles, 2 & 5 liter Jar/Tin and also in 15 Kgs/Ltr
Tin & Jars.
Taking into account the escalating demands for the
brand, the Group further enhanced the production by
establishing two Mustard Seed crushing and oil
production plants in Alwar.
M/s Deepak Vegpro (P) Ltd., with 144 Kolhus and a daily
crushing capacity of 1100 bags of Mustard Seed was
started in the year 1999 with 35 TPD production of
Mustard Oil,
M/s Saurabh Agrotech (P) Ltd., with 152 Kolhus and daily
crushing capacity of 1200
Bags of Mustard Seed were started in the year 2001 with
40 TPD Production of Mustard Oil.
These expansions became promising because of the Group's
keen and sensitive market intelligence and its ability
to place its products in markets with demand.
Furthermore the Group showed good anticipation in
matching production with projected market demands.
GLASS CERAMICS AND HARD PORCELAIN
A distinct premium range of tableware in Bone China,
English China and Colored Crockery from Jaipur Glass &
Potteries a division of Vijay Solvex Limited markets its
Product in India through a Network of over 50
distributors stretched through the country. It is also
available in over a 1000 conveniently located retail
outlets and is also exporting its produce to different
countries mainly to UK. The Division is also producing
Ceramic Insulators of various types.
To extend its overseas markets of the crockery and
ceramic the Group established M/s Data Impex Ltd., at
Birmingham, U.K., which is active in the markets of UK
and Europe to explore potential.
In the year 1995-96 the group had achieved 100% annual
growth in the then past three years in export of
De-oiled cake. The group's export earning was Rs 1.25
million and therefore earned EXPORT HOUSE status.
WIND ENERGY
By investing in environment preservation in
commissioning it's Wind Energy Power Station, Vijay
Solvex Limited demonstrated its commitment as a
responsible corporate citizen
The Plant is located near Jaisalmer; the plant has a
capacity of 1.38 MW. The Plant is situated of 52 Bighas
of land and it hosts 6 windmills with the capacity 230
KW each. The total investment was 750 lakhs and was
commissioned in a record time of three months. The plant
can produce 35 lakh units of electricity and is already
supplying to the grid. This is not only efficient power
but also cost effective so essential in days of global
competetion.
Encouraged by the overwhelming results the Group has
again ordered for 10 more wind energy generators at the
same site adding the capacity by 2.30 MW.
HORTICULTURE
To encourage the agro-based activities the Groups is
also engaged is horticulture, agriculture and social
forestry at a most modern farm of 200 Hectares located
in Alwar district of Rajasthan. |
